welcome to sea beast of the month (SBOTM)!

this is a project i started on september first 2025, inspired by foxbugforest's bug of the month (the archive below is inspired by the same source!), but instead of featuring a new bug every month, i will feature some sort of marine (saltwater) animal!! it can be any organism living in our earthly saltwaters. you can see what beast is the beast of the month on my homepage! you'll find a photo of the animal as well as its scientific and (if possible) colloquial name, as well as a brief introduction.

our oceans are full of so many freaking things. like seriously a lot. i am equal parts enthralled by and terrified of the ocean but i love learning about marine biology. sbotm is an homage to all those little wet freaks.
